Painted in 1976 to commemorate Woody Hayes' 25th Anniversary as head coach at Ohio State University. The coach was originally surrounded by 37 All-American players. Ten years after his coaching career ended (1951 to 1978), I added five new players, bringing Hayes' total to 42 All-Americans in 28 years.

The four Buckeye leaf decals used to illustrate the 4 Heisman Trophies won during the coach's career are the actual decals still used on the helmets to this day.

In 1986 I took the original art to Coach Hayes and got it autographed; then I produced 500 Limited Edition prints measuring 25 1/2" x 29 1/2". Prints are still available.
